【嘉南大圳水橋渡槽系列之目錄】

嘉南大圳為八田與一設計，於1920年9月1日正式動工，1930年4月10開始通水，當年4月25日舉行嘉南大圳新設工程完工典禮。

而水橋是圳道水路為了跨越河川或深谷等地形障礙所架設的設施。日據時代稱為【水橋】，現稱為【渡槽】。因覺水橋較貼切，故選用舊稱，非政治因素之故。

嘉南大圳系統中規模較大的水橋至少有七座，由南到北分別是「北幹線」上的朴子溪、八掌溪、急水溪、龜重溪等四座，以及「南幹線」上的官田溪、渡頭溪、曾文溪等三座。

實地走訪各水橋，除了領略水利工程對民生的莫大效益外，也看到八田與一技師對工程設計的宏大遠觀，值得後人尊崇！
